Welcome to Hollywood: Glitz and Glam!

Cheers to “Welcome to Hollywood: Glitz and Glam” – that is, SVAR’s Fall Fashion Show champagne brunch! The fashions were fancy and the fare divine as members and guests gathered today to raise money for The James House in a very glamorous way!

Thank you to the event committee for its hard work in making today’s event possible, and of course to our models – Lorna Cornett aka Cat Woman, Shanna Story aka Jem, Sandra Hayashi aka Wonder Woman, Bea Nobles aka Julianne Moore, Pat Robinson aka Diana Ross, Joyce Navary aka Starlet, Elizabeth Abernathy aka Jamie Lee Curtis, Connie Meadows aka Carrie Underwood and Mimi Habeeba-Shorter as Whitney Houston.

And we can’t forget the gents who kept the mimosas coming: Larry Lewis, Norris Hardy, Brett Harris, Al Wells, John Brockwell, Joe Croce and Brett Cole.

We’re also grateful to Dillard’s at Stony Point for supplying the fashions, to Everyday Gourmet for catering the lunch, to Jim Napier for emceeing, to Allen Bowen for DJ’ing and to Jewel Lawrence for styling our models. And, last but not least, thank you to all who generously sponsored the event or donated door prizes. We can definitely say a good time was had by all.
