If a student arrives late or leaves early, they may not be able to get credit for that session, and it may affect the student’s ability to complete a course. It is the student’s responsibility to check with the school or instructor regarding the seat time policy for that class or session.

Any continuing education credits completed by the licensee in excess of that required in the current license term that are obtained in the six months immediately prior to the license expiration date shall carry over into the next two year renewal period. The maximum you can carry over is 16 hours for a salesperson and 24 hours for a broker.

The course provider reserves the right to cancel any scheduled course. If SVAR cancels a course, you will be notified via email, fax or phone and given a full refund. We are not responsible for any expenses incurred by the registrant due to cancellation. Cancellations will be accepted up to 2 days (48 hours) prior to the event. During the business day of the start of the course a transfer may be made to future course date for a fee of $10, which may be used toward another class. Future transfers are at the discretion of SVAR. Once a student has transferred no refund is allowed. No-shows will be charged the full registration amount.

In the event of Inclement Weather SVAR staff will contact you with information pertaining to a rescheduled date for your class.

Whereas members do pay dues, those funds only go toward offsetting the high cost of offering our quality courses. Educational offerings, instructor fees, society memberships and staff services are all variables in offering these programs.

Only hand-held, silent, solar-powered, or battery operated calculators are permitted in the classroom. Recording devices are not permitted. Laptops, PDAs, or handheld computers are permitted; however, if their use disrupts other students you may be asked to discontinue use or move to another seat in the classroom. Cell phones / Pagers: Must be switched to the silent or vibrate mode while in the classroom. If you feel you must take a call while attending a class, discreetly leave the classroom and limit the duration of your call. Excessive time away from the classroom while the class is in session may result in your not receiving credit for attending.

Business casual dress must be observed while attending classes. Unacceptable attire on any day will include, but is not limited to: shorts, flip-flops, sweat suits, mini-skirts, clothing with holes and/or immodest exposure, dirty, stained and/or wrinkled clothing presenting an unprofessional appearance. When in doubt as to whether an article of clothing or outfit is appropriate it is safe to assume that it probably is not.
